The filter includes charcoal, which may cause some rattling noise when shaken. It is necessary to reset the system once the filter is changed using the instructions given. The replacement filter doesn't come with a housing. The replacement filter is of good quality, works well and comes at a reasonable price. One customer faced an issue with the pull-out tabs of the filter which were changed from cloth to paper, though the company offered excellent customer service and refunded the purchase amount.
