If any air bubbles are sticking to the pointer, carefully tap the hydrometer to shake them off. This ensures accurate readings. 4. Read the specific gravity on the inner scale and the salinity (PPT) on the outer scale.
For optimal seawater conditions in a seafood pool, the specific gravity should be between 1.020-1.023, which falls within the recommended range for security. 5.
