Answer: 100% co2 is fine, but 75/25 will give you better combined penetration and weld profile. its a ferrous product so runs similar to other steel alloys. -

What are you recommending for build up prior to hardfacing?
Answer: Any carbon steel. S6 would be good -
Question:
What is the rockwell hardness of the weld afterwards?
Answer: depends on number of passes and carbon content in base, but typically 1 pass yields 52-56 Rc and 2 passes yields 53-57 -
Question:
Do you have 0.030 inch diameter wire?
Answer: The Blue Demon that I purchased is .035 inch diameter. Your welding machines feed rollers should be easily adjusted for the .035 inch diameter wire. -

Is this stainless steel?
Answer: it is not. this product is a hard surfacing steel product.
