Does this works with any module?
Answer: Yes it does I use it on my Roland as well as my Yamaha equipment -

Can this trigger be used direct into a preamp on a recording interface rather than an outboard sample bank?
Answer: Yes. Though, just in case, be aware that this isn’t the same as a mic. You’ll end up getting the raw sound of the piezo element (the thing within the trigger that captures the vibrations of the drum head), and not a clean drum sound. This is fine if you want to use the signal as a side chain for a gate or compressor in your DAW, but otherwise the sound from the trigger directly won’t really be useable in most situations. Then again, if you’re recording something really avant-garde, then that might be the sound you’re looking for! -

How securely do they mount on die cast hoops?
Answer: i have only used it with triple flange hoops but I've had not issues at a -

Will these work with a Roland td-17?
Answer: It works with a roland td30 -

Has anyone used this on a Roland tm1?
Answer: My experience is that mixing brands doesn’t work. I have the Roland TD 50x and the Alesis Strike Pro SE. I wanted to use triggers on mesh heads. The Yamahas worked ok with those but not nearly as well as the Roland dual zone with the Roland controller. I was surprised how complicated it was trying to get the Yamaha to sound right. The Roland gear working together was a breeze. -

Answer: It only comes with one. -

Answer: Yes, it comes with the cable to attached to trigger to the drum module. -

Can this trigger read just two sounds when I play on a drum? One is the sound on plastic and one on the hoops?
Answer: Since it is a dual zone trigger, it can generate different sounds for the head and the rim/hoop, but it depends on the module you have and the settings on it. I own the Yamaha DT-50S trigger and it works perfectly on my Yamaha module DTXtremeIII (both sounds: head and rim).
