Answer: I would recommend a small. I have an 8 week old mini dashchund I bought an Xs for and it is a bit long on him (have to roll sleeves up) and the belly band stretched pretty good. Hope this help -

Are these more for fall or winter? I want something thicker than ones made with a thin t-shirt material.
Answer: I live where the temps get down to near zero. My pup is a 19 lb Shiffon with a thick coat. This onesie kept him pretty warm throughout the winter, however, it's not lined. I would say it's made like a thin sweatshirt type. So if your pup has a thin coat, then you would need something a little thicker. These has held up well and are super cute. -

my chihuahua measures the same around her chest and length. Both are 11in. she weighs almost 3lbs. Anybody thinking small, extra small? She's cold!
Answer: These are super stretchy.. DON'T put in the dryer after washing! If your baby is just 3 1bs.. that's tiny. In my opinion I would get the extra small. If it's too tight around the neck.. like mine was.. you can gently stretch it after washing while it's damp and that will give you some wiggle room. These are warm and really soft and well made. I have the pink and the blue one. :) I hope this helps ♡ -
