The Jonard Tools UST-596 Universal Cable Stripper is a very versatile tool that can work on different coax, network and telephone cables. Customers who have used the tool on RG6, RG59, RG11, and data cables gave positive feedback about the tool's capability to strip a cable cleanly and leaving a precisely cut length of center core & center wire to make a complete compression fitting. However, one customer had an issue with the tool not cleanly stripping the center conductor while using on multiple RG6 cable. Another customer had an issue with the blade cartridge not snapping tightly into the tool and being prone to popping out. The customer liked the design but had an issue with the weak spring and small velcro patch. Customers who used it on other cables outside of its intended use found it to not work as well and sometimes leaving the shield around the center conductor. Overall the tool is well-made and durable.
