Is dog food soft. If water is added does it get really soft
Answer: The Lucy Pet food kibble is a dry flat disk, and when you add water it softens very easily and is great for small dogs, picky dogs, post-op dogs, dogs with bad teeth, or even puppies. It’s a fantastic design and formula! -

Why does this say grain free when quinoa is a grain?
Answer: You may hear Quinoa is an ancient grain, it is ancient but technically is is not a grain at all. Grown and harvested like a grain but officially it is a seed and a relative of spinach and chard. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions Thank you -

Does anybody have any observations about the extent to which a dog wants/needs to chew this kibble, epecially in terms of the size and hard/softness
Answer: The kibbles in this brand are small and hard. My dog is 55lbs and would eat them by the mouthful. -

Answer: Feeding guidelines for this formula are based on a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup. Total daily amount can be divided into more than one feeding. Does this dog food have corn in it
Answer: No. None of the Lucy Pet food Formulas contain any corn at all. They are made with all very premium quality, highly digestible ingredients. The owners are at the plant in Southern California at production runs to check ingredients and quality. -

Why does this not mention the chicken that is it in on the front of the bag? It is a bit misleading since it comes across as just salmon as the meat.
Answer: The main ingredient is high quality deboned salmon which is high in protein, the second protein is chicken meal which is also a good source of protein and a healthy combination. I have been feeding the Lucy pet salmon, pumpkin and quinoa since she was 7 weeks old. She is half yorkie and half minnie pinscher but very small at 4 months old she is only 5 pounds. I really wanted a puppy food that met her needs for good growth. Healthy bones, teeth, muscles and vitality without added 'Junk Food' and this meets her needs and she loves it. No need to add anything else to the food for flavor or vitamins unless directed by your Vet this food is sufficient to meet her nutritional needs. So you save money too and because it is a quality pet food she doesnt need a lot of it. She is Healthy, her coat shines and her baby teeth are strong and white! And her breath doesn't have that bad puppy food odor. Lucy pet food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO dog food profiles for all life stages and I was happy to find a pet food that had pumpkin in it because it is known help prevent worms. I am delighted that I have a happy, healthy puppy with LOTS of energy! Hope this helps. 😁 -

Is this kibble in small pieces? My Cavachon is 18 lbs. and she is used to 'small breed' kibble. Also, are there free returns, if my dog won't eat it?
Answer: I don’t use it anymore, but it’s small kibble if you buy small breed food. I don’t know their return policy. Sorry. -
