This is a pure copper pot lined with food safe tin on the inside, providing durability and ease of cleaning. It is not pure copper on the inside because it must be lined with tin to be used for cooking different types of food. It is great for cooking food for 2-3 people or reheating leftovers. The pot itself is heavy gauge and has thick copper with heavy brass hardware riveted together, which can last a long time. It works on induction stove and is free of cadmium and mercury. However, the lid and the pot handle get hot, so it is not recommended for that reason. The handle is also hard to handle as it has no curved shape. The pot is also not suitable for candy-making as the temperatures involved exceed the melting point of tin. Some customers have reported that the tin lining wears down quickly with use, causing usability issues. Finally, the pot requires care and maintenance to avoid damage like chipping and discoloration, so it is not a high-quality product.
