The strings can be setup with lower action, either by you or a guitar tech, for individuals desired tastes. High action is typically desired on nylon guitars for classical playing. Lower action is desired by flamenco players for the more percussive sound. -

Can I string this to be left handed?
Answer: I do not remember if the saddle is compensated or not. If it is, it will need a new saddle and the nut will need to be modified to accommodate the differences in the thickness of the strings when they are switched. I had the left handed version of the full size guitar so no string switching was necessary. -

Does this guitar have a standard scale? Is it tuned differently?
Answer: Standard full scale is 650 mm and the 1/4 size is 438 mm. Much shorter for younger kids. The tuning is standard with short scale guitar strings.

Nylon string guitars by default come with a higher action, which is typically desirable for classical playing. With some modifications to the saddle and nut, the action can be reduced to accommodate more percussive sounds for flamenco players. The guitar comes with a gig bag, which is said to be of high quality. While this may be a laminate top guitar, it still has a very full sound with good bass and treble response. However, those who are used to a full-size solid top classical guitar may find the sound somewhat lacking. On the other hand, as a beginner guitar, it seems impractical to look any further. The guitar seems well-made and is suitable for young learners. It comes with a slim neck and fret markers on the side of the neck.
