USB 3.2 Gen 2 technology is backwards compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1.A properly made USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable MUST have an E-Mark chip to identify, support and regulate precisely a power supply (current) greater than 3A. These specific cables support up to 100W/5A.
