The Traxxas Rustler VXL is an extremely powerful and enjoyable remote control car. It comes with a wheelie bar and can easily reach speeds of 40mph straight out of the box, and up to 60mph with the recommended battery and pinion gear. The Talon EXT wh tires are great, and the good shocks need to be cranked up to avoid breaking. However, the drive shafts are weak and should be upgraded before using the self-righting feature, and the big gear may need replacing. While some customers had speed and tire issues on the first day, overall the rustler is very durable and can handle mud, water, and jumps. The biggest complaint is that the remote control, batteries, and charger are not included, despite being advertised otherwise.
