The Fieldpiece temp clamp is an easy-to-use product that can be used on a daily basis on multiple jobs. It comes with a strip of abrasive for surface cleaning on all pipes. The clamp is accurate within 0.5 degrees and automatically sets for vapor or liquid side readings. The wireless function makes the job a lot easier for the user. However, the manual recommends using an abrasive cloth to clean the pipe for a good connection, but this seems impractical since all pipes have oxidation, so it is necessary to sand them every time. The probes are not accurate all the time, and the copper must be perfectly clean to get a reading. The wireless function tends to lose its connection, and it takes time to recognize the phone. The unit is not water-resistant, which makes it vulnerable to damage in wet weather.
