Answer: They are galvanized. It is recommended to use longer bolts when attaching to the wall due to vibrations. -
Question:
Can Tapcon concrete anchors be used on stucco (over wood) for a 93-pound unit?
Answer: I installed a similar bracket on stucco over wood using wood bolts that came with the bracket. You need to drill a pilot hole in the stucco first with a concrete bit, then switch to a wood bit to drill into the wood. Add clear silicone in the stucco before tightening the bolts. Tapcon screws are great for concrete or brick walls but not recommended for wood. -
Question:
What type of fasteners should be used for a concrete stucco over wood installation?
Answer: I would recommend drilling a pilot hole through the stucco into a stud and secure the brackets with lag bolts.
